Strengthening Connections Beyond the Workplace:
Enactor in the Dolomites

Moments from Enactor's Dolomites retreat, focused on teamwork, collaboration, and shared experiences.

A month on, and the team is still talking about it, which tells you everything about the trip itself.

Stepping away from the day-to-day environment can do more for a team than any meeting room ever could, and that’s exactly what happened when colleagues from across Enactor came together for a four-day trip to the breathtaking Dolomites, thoughtfully organised by the team at MERA. The experience brought together colleagues from our UK office, directors from Sri Lanka, and colleagues from the US, creating a rare and valuable opportunity to connect beyond roles, locations, and day-to-day work.

Across the trip, the group experienced a blend of adventure and relaxation: hiking through stunning mountain landscapes, cycling scenic routes, rock climbing, enjoying a local wine tasting, and sharing an unforgettable six-course regional dinner. Each activity offered space to collaborate, talk, and build relationships in a more natural and informal way.

After several active days, the trip closed with a calming yoga session: the ideal moment to slow down, reflect and recharge together.

Weeks later, what stands out most isn’t just the activities themselves, but the lasting impact of spending meaningful time together outside the office. Conversations that started on a mountain trail are still shaping how teams collaborate today.

These shared experiences helped strengthen trust, deepen connections across teams and regions, and build the kind of relationships that carry back into everyday working life, long after the trip itself has ended.

A special thank you goes to MERA for the exceptional organisation of the trip. Their attention to detail, and their skill in balancing adventure, relaxation, and team-building, created an experience that felt considered and memorable throughout, one that’s clearly stayed with everyone who took part.

At Enactor, we believe that strong teams are built not only through work, but through shared experiences that bring people together in different environments and new ways.

Leadership Reflections

A lot of the experience was physically and mentally challenging but everyone showed resilience, with a healthy dose of humour and positive energy, all of the ingredients of a genuinely effective team.

Create the conditions where trust forms, communication solidifies, and a truly unshakable culture develops. Companies like Enactor that see it as an investment rather than a cost are a step ahead of the rest.

Looking ahead, another Enactor trip with the MERA team is already planned for next year, continuing our commitment to creating opportunities for people to connect, explore, and grow together beyond the workplace.
