France Is Shaking Up Fiscal Compliance
– Enactor’s Already Ahead

Big changes are coming to the way retailers in France handle their POS compliance – and Enactor’s already got it covered.

The French government has officially set a deadline: after March 1st, 2026, self-certified POS software will no longer be allowed. This means retailers across the country will need to use officially certified solutions – or risk falling out of compliance.

While many businesses are still clinging to self-certified or uncertified systems, Enactor’s POS software is already fully NF525 certified and ready for what’s ahead.

Our French Fiscal Module is built with compliance at its core – ticking all the boxes for inalterability, security, data conservation, and archiving (aka ISCA requirements). Translation: it’s future-proof, modular, and 100% ready for the new rules.

If you’re still using software that isn’t certified (or barely scraping by with self-certification), now’s the time to think ahead — and avoid the last-minute scramble.

French Compliance Timeline at a Glance
Period Requirement
Sept 1, 2025 – Feb 28, 2026 Retailers must be using certified software, or have a certification audit officially in progress.
From March 1, 2026 Only certified software permitted — self-certification no longer accepted.

If your POS software in France isn’t certified yet, now’s the time to act. The deadline’s firm, and the transition is real.

The good news? Enactor’s done the hard work, so you don’t have to.
