Work and beyond: peeking into Joe Gare’s life

I’ve been residing in Asia for more than 20 years, originally hailing from the UK. I maintain an active lifestyle and generally feel quite well. I’m not perfect, but I make an effort to monitor my diet and engage in regular exercise.

I’m thrilled to have recently joined Enactor and am enthusiastic about the opportunity to help expand their presence across the retail powerhouses in the Asia Pacific and Japan regions.

My career began in desktop publishing with Rank Xerox, after which I moved to British Telecom as a part of the BTOS team. Since then, I’ve assisted companies like Quest Software, Veeam, Dell Technologies, and Binary Tree in establishing their presence in Asia Pacific and growing into successful entities. I’ve also worked at HP, Dell, Microsoft, and Oracle before venturing into the FinTech industry. I set up my own development company, where I created a payment gateway, an API low-code platform, and a front-end app. Currently, my gateway and white-labelled apps are in use by companies like GrabPay, Pi Pay, Dialog, HNB Bank, DolfinPay, RabbitPay, and Axianta Boost.

Having lived and worked in various countries across Asia, I now call Thailand my home and thoroughly enjoy the climate and cuisine.
