Enactor is proud to announce the release of version 2.7.1331.89 for Q3, packed with exciting new features and improvements designed to enhance the retail experience and support our global clients. Customer display
One of the standout features in this release is the Customer Display functionality. This feature enables Retailers to present rich, dynamic content on a customer-facing display attached to the POS. By utilising this display, Retailers can engage customers with personalised messaging, promotions, and transactional details, all while streamlining the checkout process. This enhancement offers a more interactive and informative shopping experience.
Self-Checkout (SCO)
The demand for contactless and self-service options continues to rise, and Enactor is meeting this need with enhanced SCO capabilities. Enactor Self-Checkout is a core part of the Enactor offering and provides customers with a convenient mechanism to complete transactions independently, without the need for traditional staffed checkouts. This feature not only improves the shopping experience by reducing wait times but also allows Retailers to optimise labour resources.

ZooKeeper notifications
To ensure optimal performance and task distribution, Enactor has integrated Apache ZooKeeper Notifications into our architecture. ZooKeeper facilitates the passing of notifications between services, allowing for more efficient load management across workers. This improvement is particularly beneficial in handling high transaction volumes and ensuring seamless communication between services, thus enhancing overall system reliability.
